Process
Although originally intending to sculpt the figures by hand, I transitioned into 3D modeling to achieve cleaner results and explore new digital techniques. The final models were printed using resin printers, then hand-painted and sealed for a polished finish. I also designed the packaging to reflect elements of the Filipino flag, adding another layer of cultural storytelling to the unboxing experience.
Timeline
This project was developed and completed within a tight three-week timeframe. It challenged me to push my creative boundaries—from conceptualization and sculpting to design and production. Despite the time constraints, the process was incredibly rewarding and has sparked a deeper interest in character and toy design.
Reflection
This collection represents more than just a school project—it’s a celebration of identity, design, and storytelling. I'm proud to have created something that brings joy while honoring my heritage, and I look forward to further exploring the intersection of culture and design in future work.

Overview
For my final term project, I created a culturally expressive blind box collection inspired by Filipino desserts and heritage. This initiative combined my passion for graphic and packaging design, photography, a newly discovered interest in 3D sculpting and toy design. The project served as a personal and creative exploration into how culture can be translated into collectible art forms.
Objective
With the rising popularity of blind box collectibles, I was inspired to contribute to this trend by introducing characters rooted in Filipino culture. The goal was to design a collection that not only showcased the visual appeal of local desserts but also offered a playful and nostalgic experience for audiences unfamiliar with Filipino culture.
